Located in Greater Victoria on Vancouver Island, this is one of the world’s premier formal floral gardens. Created in the Victorian grand estate style, the gardens began in 1904 by Jennie Butchart. Today there are numerous distinctive gardens all representing a different theme. Ms. Butchart’s heirs, to this day, continue her traditional of seasonally changing the outstanding floral displays.
Nothing is more stunning than the mountains and glaciers surround Lake Louise. Nestled deep in the heart of Banff National Park, hanging glaciers adorn many of the peaks and remember, anytime you see white or blue you are experiencing glacier ice. Make sure to stop at the Lake Louise Visitor Centre and pick up a free pamphlet detailing all the wonderful fun outdoor activities to do in Lake Louise including horse drawn sleigh rides to snowmobiling. The town of Lake Louise has wonderful shops, galleries and restaurants just waiting for you to explore.
Jasper National Park
Jasper National Park is one of Canada’s largest national parks and is home to mountain sheep and goats, bears and elk. And the best way to see it all is by riding the Jasper Tramway, the longest, highest and only guided tramway in Canada. You’ll be safety seated in an enclosed tram while climbing up over 7,000 feet above sea level to the High Alpine where is a small restaurant, nature trails and boardwalks are waiting
Victoria Sightseeing Tour
Enjoy scenic beauty and rich historical architecture while learning all about Victoria has to offer from an experienced guide. A surviving remnant of the ice mass that once covered the majority of Canada’s Rocky Mountains, this is the largest remaining icefield in the western Canada mountain range. The massive Columbia Icefields can be explored via the specialized Brewster Ice Explorer ice coach. This enclosed snow bus driven by an experienced guide will take you on a spectacular excursion onto the surface of the Athabasca Glacier. Halfway through the tour, the bus will stop and you’ll be able to step out onto and take photos of this actual glacier formed over 400 years ago.
