Known as the home of the Red Rocks of Sedona. These red sandstone formations appear to glow brilliant orange and red when illuminated by the rising or setting sun. Sedona also has the Chapel of the Holy Cross, which rises 250 feet out of one of these red rock formations.
Oak Creek Canyon
Located between Flagstaff and Sedona, Oak Creek canyon is often called the smaller cousin of the Grand Canyon. This federally designated wilderness area has picnic areas, plenty of places for fishing, campsites, hiking trails and a natural water slide.
