Group Travel Protection
Travelers can choose to enroll in a Travel Protection Plan, which we offer through Travel Insured International. Designed specifically with travelers in mind, this affordable plan provides protection should something unexpected happen before, en route to or during the tour.
Travel Protection is available for all tour participants, and is strongly encouraged. Coverage is offered through Travel Insured International. Enrollment must be made by the purchaser selecting the desired Plan as an extra item during the order process or calling to request coverage. Coverage is contingent upon the receipt of a confirmed order including the plan and the timely payment of all premiums due for the selected Plan. See flyer for plan rates and coverage details.
The standard adult Group Deluxe and for student groups, Student Deluxe, protection is available for all multi-day tours. Travelers can enroll at the time of online registration, by obtaining an enrollment form from their Group Leader, by downloading a form from our website, or by calling Good News Travels Customer Service at 800-288-5575.

Tour cancellation and Trip interruption coverage A refund of the Tour Cost if you need to cancel from or miss part of the tour due to reasons stated in the Plan Document, such as work related obligations, job loss, unforeseen illness, accidental injury, strike, terrorist incident, jury duty, or severe damage to home.
Flight delay and Missed connection coverage Coverage for expenses due to travel delays and loss, theft or damage to baggage and certain personal effects.
Illness and accident coverage Coverage of treatment costs up to a limit of $25,000 (Student Deluxe) or $50,000 (Adult Deluxe) when accident or illness strikes during the trip.
Baggage and property coverage Coverage for baggage, airline tickets, travel documents and valuable property in cases of theft or delay.
Cancel for Any Reason (CFAR) optional benefit A Cancel for Any Reason (CFAR) optional benefit is also available, allowing travelers ultimate flexibility in their travel planning. The deadline to enroll in this CFAR benefit for adult groups is within 14 days of your initial trip deposit; for student groups the benefit can be added any time up to final trip payment. If you cancel more than 48 hours prior to departure for a non-covered reason, reimbursement of up to 75% of prepaid, forfeited and non-refundable payments or deposits is provided. This benefit is not available to residents of New York State.
IMPORTANT DISCLOSURE concerning Travel Protection: The purchase of a Travel Protection Plan is not required in order to purchase travel services. The Plans offered provide insurance coverage that only applies during the covered trip. You may have coverage from other sources that provides you with similar benefits but may be subject to different restrictions depending on your other coverages. You may wish to compare the terms of the Plan offered with your existing life, health, home and auto insurance policies. If you have any questions about your current coverage, call your insurer or insurance agent or broker; for questions about the offered Plans reference the flyer provided at the time of booking or contact Travel Insured International at 800-243-3174. Employees of Good News Travels are not individually licensed and cannot answer technical questions about the benefits, exclusions or conditions of the plans offered nor can they evaluate the adequacy of your existing insurance coverage.
