Day 1: Arrival in St. John’s, Newfoundland

Day 2: Discover St. John’s & Cape Spear

• Breakfast at hotel

• City tour of St. John’s

  Explore Jellybean Row, the harborfront, and heritage sites.

• Cape Spear National Historic Site

  Stand at the easternmost point in North America and visit the lighthouse.

• Visit The Rooms Museum

  A striking cultural center with Newfoundland art, history, and views of the city.

• Free time downtown

  Browse shops or visit local pubs and music venues.

Day 3: Witless Bay Ecological Reserve & Ferryland

• Boat tour from Witless Bay

  Spot puffins, whales (in season), and seabirds in one of Canada’s richest marine ecosystems.

• Picnic lunch in Ferryland

  Scenic coastal lunch near an archaeological site of a 17th-century colony.

• Colony of Avalon tour (optional)

  Explore early colonial ruins with interpreters.

• Return to St. John’s for free evening or group dinner.

Overnight: St. John’s

Day 4: Travel to Trinity & Bonavista Peninsula

• Drive to Trinity

  Head northwest through scenic coastal roads (approx. 3.5 hours with stops).

• Walking tour of Trinity

  Visit historic churches, saltbox houses, and a former merchant’s premises.

• Bonavista visit

  See where John Cabot is believed to have landed in 1497.

• Cape Bonavista Lighthouse

  Iconic red-and-white lighthouse with panoramic views.

• Check-in to local inn or lodge

  Stay in a cozy setting by the sea.

Overnight: Trinity or Bonavista area

Day 5: Icebergs, Hikes & Coastal Villages

• Skerwink Trail hike (optional)

  A coastal loop trail with sea stacks and cliffs (easy to moderate, ~2 hrs).

• Iceberg spotting (seasonal)

  Visit viewing points if traveling in late spring/early summer.

• Explore local artisan shops

  Pottery, woodwork, and Newfoundland crafts.

Day 6: Travel to Gros Morne National Park

• Drive to Gros Morne (via Gander/Deer Lake)

  Learn about 9/11’s impact on the town and aviation history.

• Arrive in Gros Morne region

Day 7: Explore Gros Morne National Park

• Boat tour of Western Brook Pond

  Cruise through a spectacular fjord carved by glaciers (flat hike to reach the dock).

• Explore Tablelands

  Walk on Earth’s mantle at this UNESCO site with alien-like terrain.

• Visit Lobster Cove Head Lighthouse

Overnight: Gros Morne

Day 8: Departure Day

• Transfer to Deer Lake Airport (YDF)

  Group transportation provided for departure flights.

• Optional flight extension to Labrador

  Add-on visit to Red Bay or Battle Harbour for deeper exploration.
